The aim of the survey was to identify opportunities for promoting greater sustainability in the construction industry and architecture. This was based on an assessment of the current level of knowledge and the identification of opportunities to develop education in sustainable construction. The basic research questions were formulated based on an analysis of the needs of individual project consortium partners and their requirements with regard to target groups: Passive House Center (civil engineers, architects, construction technicians), Rethink Architecture (architects), Czech Green Building Council (developers, civil engineers), Partnership Foundation (municipalities as public procurement contractors).
An important part of the survey was also identifying barriers to education (format, cost, timing, etc.). Neglected topics, which hold potential for expanding existing educational areas and themes, also represent a significant aspect.
The platform is being developed as part of the LIFE ClimArchiBase project, a collaboration among four Czech nonprofit organizations focused on the sustainability of buildings and cities.
